La Fabrik
des francofolies
A PROJECT DEDICATED TO LIVE PERFORMANCES FOR ARTISTS FROM THE NEW LUXEMBOURG SCENE
The “La Fabrik des Francofolies” project is part of the Francofolies Esch/Alzette’s mission and aims to support emerging Luxembourgish artists.
As has been the case since 2021, two artists will be selected and will benefit from a support program consisting of three main areas:
1/ CREATIVE SUPPORT

In a program preparing participants for the stage through a residency at the Kulturfabrik, based on exchanges with a team of professionals specializing in directing, voice, body, sound, and lighting;
2/ PERSONALIZED GUIDANCE

On the professional environment through a series of thematic highlights linked to the Francofolies de La Rochelle festival, in order to better understand their own structures in relation to their objectives and the music market;
3/ PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

On one of the stages at Francofolies Esch/Alzette, while promoting their identification within a network of professionals, as well as at venues and partner festivals.
Who can apply ?
The project primarily targets artists in the process of becoming professionals who need additional support to launch their professional careers. The program will be tailored to each individual’s specific needs in order to provide personalized and appropriate solutions.
SELECTION CRITERIA
- Artists with a connection to Luxembourg (either by origin or residence).
- Artists with some live performance experience.
- Preference is given to artists with ambitions to become professionals.
HOW THE FABRIK DES FRANCOFOLIES WORKS
The two selected artists will meet with various professionals and stakeholders for an initial exchange in January to get to know each other and identify their needs.
One week will be devoted to stage work (date to be announced)
– During this week, four days will be devoted to stage and personal work (voice, body, staging, lighting, sound, setlist, etc.)
– Half a day will be devoted to the artist’s environment (career, objectives, media strategies, tour manager, publisher, etc.).
– One evening will be an opportunity to perform live in front of an audience.
En partenariat avec le Chantier des Francofolies, les artistes sélectionnés participeront à un cycle de temps forts thématiques pour approfondir certains sujets collectivement et individuellement lors de journées à Paris.
